Match the application to the treatment task

The VENTUS biofilter range addresses odour treatment in applications such as wastewater facilities and pumping stations. The A-P range includes active and passive configurations. An enquiry should describe the actual source and operating conditions rather than assume one configuration suits every site. Odour treatment is not a blanket claim to remove every industrial pollutant, and a general product page cannot establish a site's emission performance.

Describe the source and the air-collection system

Identify the tanks, chambers, buildings or process steps associated with the odour. Explain whether the source is enclosed, how air is currently moved and when the problem occurs. Provide available air-flow information, measurements and ventilation drawings, clearly marking estimates. For a retrofit, include the existing treatment equipment and its condition. These inputs help separate a source-collection question from the selection of the treatment unit itself.

Make operating responsibilities part of the proposal

State the available installation area, access restrictions and utilities, together with who will operate and maintain the system. Discuss the intended assessment method and any project-specific requirements before comparing equipment options. What if air-flow measurements are not yet available?

Describe the source and ventilation arrangement, and mark the missing measurements. The next discussion can identify the information required before sizing.

Is odour treatment the same as general flue-gas cleaning?

No. The air stream, contaminants and treatment objective must be identified separately. Do not assume a biofilter is suitable for an unspecified industrial emission.
